Magarotti residence, year 1965

The two new residential buildings stand on the edge of the urban settlement. The buildings are differently oriented but adopt the same architectural austerity, marked by the use of exposed brick.The balconies located on the corners soften the structure and give it a distinctive feature.

Middle School

In two successive interventions, the new school building and the added volume of the gymnasium serving the institute are executed. Within the urban fabric, the first site delivers a building connoted by ribbon windows. The gymnasium stands in structural continuity with the first intervention, from which it differs only in the color of the facade.
Hospital, year 1970-1972

The hospital facility rises from scratch to ensure adequate service to the health district. RSA “Sandro Pertini”

The renovation of the nursing home performs stairs in external bodies to improve the connection between interior spaces.In the same location, a riser and emergency room are added.To ensure access, the architectural barriers on the ground floor are broken down.Finally, the facilities of the entire complex are being renovated.
People’s Houses, year 1962

The structure rises to house teachers in service to city schools: the building’s severe, geometric line hints at this intended use.However, the interplay of balconies, whose parapet is variously modulated, breaks its constructive austerity. Overlook finishes enliven the elevation, making it more graceful and attractive.
Montelungo Residence

The new multifamily building stands in an area of recent urban expansion. The stairwell succeeds in being clearly visible on the main front that recedes as it rises: these accouterments lend lightness to the volumes, emphasize their symmetry, and ensure the privacy of the neighboring housing units.
Canova Residence

The two new residences are symmetrically arranged on a public space, used as a gathering place and parking lot. The buildings are similar in construction language although they differ in length.The roof gable brings back the façade in rigor, to which the alternating balconies as well as the projecting stairwells impart variety and movement.
Middle School, year 1961-1962

The layout of the new school building reflects its location on a slope in the upper part of the village. In fact, the structure opens on two sides, carving out an access courtyard. Windows mark the rhythm of the facade,where the pillars stand out according to the architectural taste of the time.
ATS Health Facility, year 1962

Among the most respected technicians working on Schiavi’s construction sites recursthe arch. Carlo Panigada, designer of this multifunctional space.On different floors, the structure punctuates outpatient clinics and health direction. Connoting the building are the glazed front and side wings containing it, dressed in characteristic tiles.
